Would you Believe?
Would you believe
if I told you he was more luminescent than the full moon on a starry night
that his face radiated to those in sight
Would you believe if I told you he was of medium built but appeared as if towering high
that he was perfect in balance
neither short nor like a giant
Would you believe if I told you his hair was black, shiny, and wavy
neither lanky, straight nor tight, and curly
Would you believe if I told you he was strong in strength and well-built in form
yet his heart was vast that could hold the pain of those out of the norm
Would you believe if I told you about his pure character
that he was Al-Amin the Trustworthy one amongst his companions
even those who were his enemies entrusted him with their possessions
Would you believe if I told you his smile was the most widely known in his community
yet he had experienced every loss imaginable from birth till death
Would you believe if I told you he was the most generous in giving
yet he owned little and had a simple way of living
Would you believe if I told you he was chosen by God to be His Messenger
yet he was an orphan, unlettered, who was searching for meaning
Would you believe if I told you he is the most praised one
Yet his life was devoted to praising The Only One
Would you believe if I told you that he prayed and cared for you
Yet you don’t know him but he chose you
Would you believe if I told you his character was the Quran
He embodied the word of God, steering to right and warning from wrong
Would you believe if I told you his Mercy encompassed all of creation
Human, Jinn, animals, plants, insects, mountains, the entire Universe feels his compassion
Would you believe if I told you every Prophet was told about his coming
that he loved them all and considered them his brothers in belief
Would you believe if I told you he came and liberated the plight of women and gave them honor
while his people were torturing them and killing them at birth
Would you believe if I told you that none of his sons survived
Yet every muslim desires to name their child Muhammad
Would you believe if I told you that he made everyone feel special
that he would turn his entire body to give you attention
be they a noble king, pauper, or a wandering wayfarer
Would you believe if I told you that he prayed for those who tortured him
all for the sake of His Lord that perhaps their next of kin will become believers
Would you believe if I told you that the angels were instructed to destroy his enemies
Yet he chose forgiveness for them and asked that they be spared
Would you believe me if I told you that light emanated from his mouth permeating from his heart
because his heart carried the Word of God in word and deed
he called to Islam and fulfilled our need
Would you believe if I told you that he cared for the ones who hurt him
that he never carried a grudge nor sought revenge to those who mocked him
Would you believe if I told you that he never instigated war
that he only fought with the Will of Allah in self-defense
Would you believe if I told you that he was fierce in fighting
that his face would turn red in anger only for the sake of His Lord
Would you believe if I told you God and His angels send peace and blessings on Muhammad
That He commanded us to do the same
O Allah send your infinite peace and blessings upon our Master Muhammad salalaaho alayhi wasalam.
Would you believe if I tell you I see your tears
He has touched your heart and wiped your fears
Would you believe me if I tell you that I know you believe
Take a deep breath and say:
La ilaaha ilalah Muhammadar Rasul Allah, salalaaho alayhi wassalam

HAJJ: ACCORDING TO THE SUNNAH (PROPHET MUHAMMAD’S WAY) AND THE TREMENDOUS BLESSINGS IN IT
The biggest take that I have learned from my recent Hajj (Muslim Pilgrimage) experience is not to cut corners in life and to be patient and follow things through in its entirety without missing the essence and blessings of that experience.
Hajj is a journey of a lifetime that our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) took about 1433 years ago. Every single Muslim that performs Hajj is fulfilling the 5th pillar of Islam and following in his footsteps. However, many people do not realize the importance of Hajj and are not always mindful of sticking as close to the Sunnah (the way of the Prophet pbuh) as possible.
In our experience, many of the scholars amongst us were not fully knowledgeable about the optimal way of performing Hajj and found legal ‘loop holes’ in order to make things easier. These ‘loop holes’ or ‘easy ways out’ don’t necessarily invalidate the Hajj…
